Active Time Events
ATE (or Active Time Events) are small events that'll appear throughout Final Fantasy IX. What
they do is allow you to see what other characters are doing while your doing a certain task.
To active ATEs, look out for the ATE icon at the bottom left portion of your screen and press
SELECT to view the event. If the text is gray, the event is shown automatically. You don't have
to view all the ATE moments to finish the game, but they provide a different perspectives and
reveal deeper insights about the characters.
ATEs Change With Your Choices
Sometimes, when you choose ATEs in a certain order, the menu will change. Converstations might
change according to what ATE you choose. Try different options to experience different results.
